Carhartt size chart

Carhartt sizes some caps and its bucket hats as M/L and L/XL. Sized caps run M/L 21 ¾ to 22 ⅜ in (55.2 to 56.8 cm) and L/XL 22 ½ to 23 ⅛ in (57.2 to 58.7 cm). Bucket hats run a little larger: M/L 22 ⅛ to 22 ¾ in and L/XL 22 ⅞ to 23 ½ in. Adjustable caps are one size, about 22 to 23 ⅜ in.

Carhartt beanie sizes

The classic Carhartt knit beanie (the watch hat) is one size fits all. It is a stretchy rib knit that fits most adults from about 54 to 62 cm and can be worn cuffed or uncuffed. Kids and toddler beanies are sized separately.

Fit tips

  • Acrylic beanies keep their shape through washing. Wool blends can shrink, so wash cold.
  • Between M/L and L/XL, choose L/XL for a relaxed fit.

How to measure your head

  1. 1 Use a soft tape measure, or a string and a ruler.
  2. 2 Wrap it around your head where the hat will sit: about 1 cm (⅜ in) above your ears and across the middle of your forehead.
  3. 3 Keep the tape level and snug, not tight. Do not pull it in.
  4. 4 Read the number where the tape overlaps. Measure two or three times and use the largest value.
  5. 5 Type the number into the calculator, or find it in the chart.
