Welding cap sizes
Most welding caps follow standard fitted sizes. Measure where the band will sit, with the tape passing over the nape of your neck, and match the number to the chart.

Crown depth
Welding caps come with low, medium and deep crowns. A deep crown covers more of the head and suits long or thick hair; a low crown fits closer under a welding helmet. Crown depth does not change the head size you order.
Reversible and oversize caps
Reversible caps have two layers of fabric and can feel slightly snug, so if you are between sizes, choose the larger one. Oversize caps are cut for big hair, locs or wearing over a head wrap.
Fit tips
- Welding caps are usually 100% cotton, which shrinks in a hot dryer. Wash cold and air dry.
- Cotton is the safe choice near sparks. Avoid synthetic caps, which can melt.
